Prime Minister Narendra Modi says Congress is a party on bail

New Delhi:

“The entire Congress party, including party president Sonia Gandhi, vice president Rahul Gandhi and others were out on bail on corruption charges against them,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday during a public meeting in Himachal Pradesh’s Bilaspur.

Modi during the public meeting also termed Virbhadra Singh cabinet as ‘government on bail.’

Prime Minister was in the poll bound state to lay the foundation stone of Rs 1,3500 crore 750-bed AIIMS hospital in Bilaspur, IIT and a unit of SAIL steel plant.

Prime Minister further added, “Sonia Gandhi is out on bail in the National Herald case, similarly ‘yuvraaj’ (prince) is also out on bail in the National Herald case.”

He added, “ Everything is on bail — the party, its leaders and its government are out on bail,”

Modi further added that when few Congress leaders came to me him he told them the chief minister and his entire family is out on bail.

“This is ‘zamanati sarka’ (Government on bail). Why don’t you change the chief minister,” Modi said referring to Virbhadra Singh, who is facing cases of disproportionate property and his out on bail.

Modi further asked the public during the rally, “Now tell me, don’t we need to oust this government which is out on bail.”

During the public meeting Modi also slammed the previous Himachal and central governments for delaying projects in the state.

He said, “The steel plant project worth Rs 70 crore was delayed for over seven years.”
