New Delhi:

The newly elected Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Friday seemed confident while walking out of his party headquarters in New Delhi after the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting and bashed the BJP on 2G spectrum issue. He said ‘BJP architecture is about lies.’

Rahul Gandhi after chairing his first CWC meeting as Congress president while talking to media persons said, “Everyone knows about 2G. The truth has come out. It was a BJP propaganda on a lie to tarnish Congress image.”

The newly elected BJP president further said, “Whatever you talk about, be it 2G or whether you look at the Modi model or promise of Rs 15 lakhs in every bank account or demonetisation…. Everything is a lie.”

Rahul Gandhi added, “If you talk about Modi’s Gujarat model it was a clear lie. The people of Gujarat told me there is no Modi Model. They said the only model which is working in Gujarat is stealing people’s resources.”

The Congress president did not detail or reveal the discussions of the CWC meeting to the media.

Another Congress leader not willing to be quoted said that the meeting was chaired by Rahul Gandhi.

He added that the major discussion of the meeting was on how the party will go in public to expose BJP propaganda in public.

The Congress leader also said that Rahul Gandhi will chair another meeting soon in which they will discuss on how to move in public to inform people how the saffron party tarnished the image of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

A special CBI court on Thursday acquitted all accused in the 2G spectrum scam case including A Raja and DMK chief M Karunanidhi’s daughter M K Kanimozhi, saying the CBI “miserably failed” to prove charges against any of the 17 accused.

The court in its judgement said, "A huge scam was seen by everyone where there was none...some people created a scam by artfully arranging a few selected facts and exaggerating things beyond recognition to astronomical levels."
