An IIT-Advanced aspirant Vikas has been missing from his hostel in Kota, Rajasthan from last four days. On May 8, Vikas left for coaching as per his routine but has not been seen since.

Vikas hails from Dosa, Rajasthan and has been living in Garjar in Kota to prepare for IIT entrance exam.

According to his family, the absence of a mobile phone on his person has increased difficulty in tracking him down.

"We have spread the message to every police station and we are hoping for some news soon," an official said.

The police have so far been able to track down Vikas' luggage from Delhi's Sarai Kala Khan ISBT after a tip-off.
