Rajasthan Police Academy's deputy director, Devashish Deo dies in Jaipur after prolonged illness

Known for slapping a BJP worker for alleged missbehaviour, the deputy director of Rajasthan Police Academy (RPA), IPS officer Devashish Deo breathed his last breath on Sunday. 

Earlier in January Devashish sustained severe injuries in the head and spinal chord while serving his duty at Brahma Temple in Ajmer district. The injuries was caused because he fell off from a height as the chair he sat on was broken.  

Initially he was admitted to a government hospital but was later referred to Fortis hospital. After being paralysed for 10 months the 39 year old, 2013 batch IPS officer died at the Imperial hospital.
