New Delhi:

Former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni interacted with students of Army Public School in Srinagar on Wednesday, the Indian Army said.

Chinar Corps of the Indian Army on its official Twitter handle tweeted photographs of Dhoni’s visit to Srinagar. Dhoni holds an honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Army. The school is located inside the Chinar Corps headquarters in the Badamibagh Cantonment.

Chinar Corps tweeted, “Lt Col (Hony) Mahendra Singh #Dhoni interacting with the enthusiastic children of #APS #Srinagar; emphasised upon importance of #studies and #sports @adgpi @NorthernComd_IA @msdhoni.”

In the pics tweeted by Chinar Corps one can see Dhoni in Indian Army uniform surrounded by students or teachers.

Dhoni is currently on a break before the Sri Lanka limited overs series starting December 10. The Indian cricket team is playing Test matches against Sri Lanka but Dhoni is not part of the team as he retired from the longest format of the game in 2014.
