New Delhi:

BJP leader Subramanian Swamy, the man who exposed the 2G spectrum scam has condemned Modi govt’s controlling of the entire case and said “PM should take lessons” from the special court's verdict.

A special CBI court on Thursday acquitted all the accused in the 2G spectrum scam case including former Telecom Minister A Raja and DMK Chief’s daughter MK Kanimozhi.

In its judgment, the court said, "A huge scam was seen by everyone where there was none...some people created a scam by artfully arranging a few selected facts and exaggerating things beyond recognition to astronomical levels."

Reacting to the special court’s verdict, Swamy said, “Today's judgment is a very bad judgement, this must be appealed in higher court.”

Swamy also questioned govt’s controlling of the case and said ‘lackadaisical’ counsels has derailed the 2G spectrum scam case.

“This is a big condemnation of the Govt's controlling of the case, counsels were lackadaisical. I hope the PM takes lesson from this. We must now fight corruption on war footing,” Swamy said expressing his disappointment.

He, however, said the case can be put back again on the track if the honest law officers and lawyers handle it.

“It has been derailed, but it can be put back on track again provided we have honest law officers and lawyers who don't do 'chamchagiri' of ministers,” Swamy said.

Swamy also said he opposed the appointment of former Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi who had appeared for some of the accused companies and welcomed the verdict.

“Former AG Mukul Rohatgi has welcomed this verdict, I had written to PM opposing his appointment as AG. Rohatgi had appeared for some of accused companies,” Swamy told reporters in Delhi.
