New Delhi :

The Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker on Friday sent notice to the 19 MLAs who support TTV Dhinakaran. The Speaker asked the 19 MLAs to appear on 14 September.

The Speaker had earlier asked them to explain their position by September 5.

Earlier, the MLAs had already met Governor C Vidyasagar Rao withdrawing their support to Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami. The opposition parties MPs had also met President Ram Nath Kovind and demanded immediate floor test.

While talking to media after meeting President Kovind, CPI (M) leader Sitaram Yechury said they have demanded that the Tamil Nadu Governor must convene state assembly for an immediate floor test. "Let the assembly decide which party is in majority," he said.
