Thiruvananthapuram: CPI (M) worker attacked by bike borne assailants allegedly from SDP

Now it seems there is fighting between the LDF and the Socialists of Kerala. Two bike-borne assailants belonging to the Social Democratic Party has allegedly attacked a CPI (M) worker on Sunday. 

The incident happened at around 6 AM at Kattakada, in the city outskirts. The video has gone viral where it can be seen the attackers chasing the victim and mauling him down with a weapon.  

Though he managed to escape and is currently receiving treatment at Neyattinkara government hospital. 

Kumar, an agent of CPI(M) mouthpiece 'Deshabhimani', was distributing copies of the newspaper when he was attacked. SDPI has denied their involvement in the incident.

DGP Loknath Behara said patrolling has been intensified and police would handle such incidents with a firm hand.
