Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura are set to expire on March 6, 13 and 14 respectively.

New Delhi:

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday announced the polling schedules for Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland.

Meghalaya and Nagaland goes to poll on February 27, while Tripura will vote in February 18.

All the three north-eastern states going on poll have 60 Assembly seats. The Assembly for Meghalaya expires in March 6, Nagaland and Tripura are set to expire on March 13 and 14 respectively.

Chief Election commissioner A K Joti said, “Counting of votes for all the three states will be carried out on March 3.”

He added that the Model Code of Conduct comes in effect in all the three states from today.

Last date of nomination: January 31

Scrutiny of nomination: February 1

Last date of withdrawal of candidature: February 3

Date of polling: February 18

Date of counting: March 3


MEGHALAYA, NAGALAND

Date of issue of gazette notification: January 31

Last date of nomination: February 7

Scrutiny of nomination: February 8

Last date of withdrawal of candidature: February 12

Date of polling: February 27

Date of counting: March 3
