New Delhi:

Congress on Friday reportedly filed a complaint with Election Commission against Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for deploying volunteers in all assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh for campaigning in favour of BJP candidates.

The party urged the Commission to issue directions to all CEOs and DEOs and other personnel involved in monitoring of election campaign and Model Code of Conduct to ensure that no campaign is conducted by them or their associates and affiliates, media reports said.

Congress legal cell secretary KC Mittal has also requested the EC to add the expenditure incurred by them to the account of BJP candidates in the assembly constituency.

Congress said the RSS and their affiliates have been doing full swing political activities without being registered as a political party.
