UP CM Adityanath: 'Have no right to stop Janmashtami celebration at police station if I cannot stop namaz on road'

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said that he has no right to discontinue Janmashtami celebrations at police stations if he cannot stop offering of namaz on the roads during Eid celebrations.

While addressing a programme in Lucknow, the chief minister told that senior administrative officials had recently banned loudspeakers, DJs, microphones during Kanwar Yatra. He said,” I asked them to ensure no usage of loudspeakers from any religious place in the state. If they cannot do so, the DJs, microphone and music system could not be banned during Kanwar Yatra.”

The chief minister said that no one can stop people celebrating a festival of their particular faith, but they should not violate the law and order.
