Days before the start of Parliament’s monsoon session, an English news channel in a big expose has claimed that UPA government in its last days in power wanted to include RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat’s name in the list of terrorists.
According to a private English news channel Times Now, The UPA govt after the Ajmer Dargah and Malegaon blast wanted to trap Mohan Bhagwat and its ministers were trying their best to list him as a “Hindu terrorist.”
The channel reported that top ministers including the then Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde were pressurising NIA to interrogate RSS chief for his alleged role in Ajmer Dargah and Malegaon blast.
According to an interview of suspected terrorist Swami Aseemanand published in Caravan in February 2014, Mohan Bhagwat was the man who inspired the Ajmer Dargah attack.
On the basis of Swami Aseemanand’s Interview, UPA govt wanted to interrogate Bhagwat but the head of investigation agencies, Sharad Yadav refused to allow this. He wanted the forensic test of interview tape in which Aseemanand accused Bhagwat of inspiring the Ajmer dargah attack.
However, the things could not move further and NIA had close the case.
