New Delhi:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated the second edition of Raisina Dialogue in New Delhi amid much fanfare. During the inaugural address, PM Modi spelt out India's foreign policy agenda within the regional framework, stressing on the relations with Pakistan and China.

Speaking on Pakistan, the prime minister stressed that India cannot walk the path of peace alone, Pakistan must walk away from terror for peace to sustain in between the South Asian neighbour. On China, PM stressed that it is not unnatural for two neighbours to have some differences. 

The Prime Minister's address was attended by former Heads of State and governments, foreign ministers and senior ministers from a number of countries and prominent foreign policy thinkers from around the world.

Raisina Dialogue 2017

The 2nd Edition of Raisina Dialogue is all set to take place in New Delhi from 17-19 January, 2017. 

The theme of the dialogue, this year, is 'The New Normal-Multilateralism with Multi-Polarity'. 

The Dialogue is India's flagship Geo-political conference which is held annually. The dialogue is styled on the Shangri La Dialogue held annually in Singapore.  And within a short span the it meet has emerged as a much awaited global conference in the international calendar. 

The dialogue takes place in the back drop of Trump taking charge as US president by end of weekend and other global issues threat of terrorism. The second edition will feature participation from about 65 countries and more than 250 foreign participants.
