The Met department has forecast heavy rain in almost all parts of West Bengal, including the flood-affected northern parts of the state.
Isolated heavy rain is likely to occur at Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, Coochebehar and Alipurduar in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal till Wednesday, following which intensity of rain in this region is likely to decrease, the Met department said.
In Gangetic West Bengal, heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places till Thursday, the weatherman said.
Bankura received 110 mm rainfall in 24 hours till Tuesday morning, recording the highest in the state during the period.
In north Bengal, Gojoldoba received 90 mm rain, while Diana received 80 mm rain.
Murti, Hasimara, Coochbehar and Barobhisa received 50 mm rainfall during the same period, the Met department said.
