Prime Minister Narendra Modi will leave for Davos, Switzerland on Monday to attend the World Economic Forum 2018.
PM Modi is scheduled to have dinner with select global business leaders and hold discussions with them in Davos on January 22. Accompanying PM Modi would be Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Suresh Prabhu, Jitendra Singh, and MJ Akbar.
There is a lot of excitement in Davos, a town in the Swiss Alps, and the venue for the World Economic Forum 2018.
“It is very exciting that finally, we have someone from India coming to Davos. There is a lot of excitement that the Indian PM is coming here. I spoke to a lot of people from the US and Europe who are very excited that India has a strong presence in Davos this time,” said Mehul Patel, a local.
“It is possibly the only venue where you have all the world leaders, investors, entrepreneurs together and discuss issues that companies and countries are facing. There are serious outcomes,” added Patel.
