Music is something which everyone enjoys and has the power to lift up your mood. Considered one of the most treasured human experiences, music can reduce stress and anxiety.
In what we may call a scene from a typical Indian daily soap, a Chinese woman woke up from coma after listening to a popular Taiwanese song, a leading daily in China reported. The young lady had been in a state of coma since November 2017 due to brain dysfunction, the report in South China Morning suggested.
The nurse, who was attending the 24-year-old woman, started to crack jokes and read entertainment news to her. He also played songs sung by Jay Chou, hoping the patient would like it.
The music therapy did wonders and the woman woke up from the coma, added the report in the Chinese newspaper.
The hospital staff was surprised to see the patient respond to the Taiwanese pop star’s song as her feet moved slightly whenever the music was played. The woman regained consciousness in March 2018 and interestingly, the song which was playing back then was Rosemary.
