New Delhi:

The medical world has witnessed some of the rarest cases but some of them continue to shock the doctors.

In one such rare case, a baby boy was born carrying his twin brother in the stomach in Mumbra's Bilal Hospital. The baby had the body of half-formed boy inside his stomach. The half-formed foetus had a complete brain, legs and arms.

The case has been suspected by doctors to be a rare 'fetus in fetu' twin pregnancy. This is one of the 200 cases recorded in the world.

The doctors surgically removed the 7 centimetre mass from the baby's stomach. As per Daily Mail, it was radiologist Dr. Bhavna Thorat who noticed the same during a routine scan.

Both the baby and the 19-year old mother are said to be doing well.

The doctors at the hospital were able to notice the abnormality in early July while conducting a routine scan of the mother. Their apprehensions turned out to be true when the baby boy was born on July 20 and the scan showed that there was 'another small baby' inside his abdomen.

The newly born baby was transferred to Thane's Titan Hospital where the doctors removed the 150g mass through surgery. It has been reported that the baby's mother will soon start feeding him.
