The country is currently busy celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi with much fun & frolic. Dussehra is round the corner too.

The last few months of the year are simply the best because of the back to back festivals. This only means family and friends coming together, relishing delicious foods and having a gala time. 

People suffering from obesity and diabetes usually have to take a lot of caution during the festive season. Their only worry is that eating fried food and sweets can affect cholesterol, blood sugar level and weight management. 

One can still enjoy feasting without dampening the spirit of festivity. Health experts have suggested that sugar free treats are good alternatives for the sugar based sweets. These are prepared from sugar free or artificial sweeteners and provide the same taste of sweetness but with no calories.

The sweet is prepared with just a teaspoon of ghee, low-fat milk, bottle gourd, stevia and cardamom powder. The best part is- the sweet is diabetic friendly. 

Fini: This sweet is simply irresistible to eat. The traditional Rajasthani sweet is prepared using flour, pure ghee and sugar. Once made it looks like a bunch of hair because of the thin strands.
