Love fruit juices? Well, you may have to rethink before you grab a glass of your favourite fruit juice this monsoon.
Monsoon is the time when infections are at an all-time high; you may have to avoid your favourite fruit juices as intake of fruit juices in the humid weather can take toll on your health.
So, it is better to be more cautious about what you eat or drink in the rainy season than be sorry!
Here are some of the fruit juices you should avoid during monsoon:
Mango juice
Monsoon and mangoes don’t seem to go well. This summer fruit is not recommended during the rainy season as mangoes have an intrinsically warming property which can trigger acne problems.
Watermelon juice
Watermelons may give rise to digestive problems like diarrhoea, bloating, flatulence, gas, etc., as the fruit contains sorbitol, a sugar compound, which is known to encourage loose stools and gas issues.

Pineapple juice
Pineapple juice contains a powerful enzyme called bromelain, which may cause diarrhea, stomach disorders, and show quick ill response to allergic person.
Excessive pineapple juice destroys mouth mucous membrane and stops mucus formation in the mouth.

Fresh juices from roadside vendors
Consuming anything sold on the streets should most definitely be off your list during the rainy season.
Anything served or kept for long in monsoon’s humidity is likely to get contaminated and prone to fatal infections. This is the season when water-borne diseases also strike.

So stick to fresh fruit juices prepared at home that can be consumed immediately to avoid diseases like diarrhoea and typhoid.
