New Delhi:

Among the hashtags making it to the top trends on Twitter on Sunday was #savepriyanshu. Priyanshu, who the Twitterattis are rallying to save, is not an international celebrity, politicians or popular kid. He is a three-year-old from Bhopal with a rare heart disease.

Unskilled labourer Sagar Meshram's son Priyanshu has complex congenital heart disease “Double outlet right ventricle with large ventricular septal defect” where pure and impure blood get mixed and lungs get damaged due to high pressure.

Doctors at AIIMS said that it was too late for a cure for Priyanshu but his father refused to back down.

With government's help, Priyanshu was operted at Fortis Hospital, New Delhi but unfortunately that operation only gave him an extension of life not a cure.

Sagar is an uneducated labor but because of his son’s health he became internet savvy and started exploring all the option to save his son.

One day he found the video of Boston Hospital where he saw the ray of hope. He then contacted them through mails. After several mails he was able to coordinate to them and they asked all his medical reports.

"Boston Hospital agreed that surgery is possible and this ailment can be cured too. They gave cardiovascular global discount estimate of USD 1,00,557/- which is equivalent to around Rs. 66 Lakhs in India currency," a crowdfunding page for Priyanshu says.

The Twitterati has now rallied behind the child to help raise funding so that he and his father can go to Boston Hospital for necessary treatment.
