New Delhi:

H1N1 virus or swine flu is on rise in Coimbatore. Four more positive cases have been reported in the state.

Six persons are already undergoing treatment in hospital. On Friday, that is February 3, evening, four more persons tested positive were admitted, hospital sources reported.

The patients have been allotted a special ward, they told.

However, the number of patients in the private hospitals is not known.

During the last 10 days, the disease has claimed the lives of four persons including a one-year-old boy from Salem, who died in a private hospital, which prompted the district authorities to make efforts to prevent its spread.
