Raja Harishchandra- first Indian film
Raja Harishchandra made in 1913 was only one print of the film and was made and shown at the Coronation Cinematograph.
Alam Ara- first Indian Talkie
Alam Ara in 1931 gave the medium of cinema a voice and the film took months to make because of hazardous recording conditions
Kisan Kanya- first color movie
Kisan Kanya in 1937 was the first color movie of Indian Cinema. The film was not a commercial success but is remembered for being the country’s first colour film
