The 44th episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 started on a festive note when the host Amitabh Bachchan talked about the details of Chhath Puja. The Deewar actor talked about the significance of the festival.

The roll-over contestant from previous episode, Sapna Garg once again graced the hot seat. Sapna had asked Big B to dance on the hit number Kajra Re on Wednesday's episode. The Shahenshah, however politely declined the same. The Meerut resident had won Rs 3,20,000 and played the game further.

Sapna played quite well and ended up taking a prize money of Rs. 12,50,000. She quit the game when she was not able to answer the question for Rs. 25 lakhs.

Amitabh Bachchan conducted a fresh round of 'Fastest-finger-first'. Swati Gupta from Varanasi ended up answering the fastest and made it to the hot seat. It was an emotional moment for Swati and she told Big B that it was her dream to be on KBC.

Swati's husband and mother were there to support her on KBC 9. Swati told Big B that her mother is an inspiration for her. Though she was very enthusiastic, Swati couldn't perform quite well and won only Rs. 10,000. She gave the wrong answer for the question worth Rs. 80,000.
