After a slow start at the box office on its day of release, 'Lipstick Under My Burkha' has paced up in its first weekend and even saw a stronger Monday collections at the box office. The movie, which stars Konkona Sen Sharma, Ratna Pathak, Vikrant Massey, Aahana Kumar in key roles, the movie has made a collection of Rs. 7.08 cr in four days of release. Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh, took it to micro-blogging site to share the box office collection of the movie and wrote, “#LipstickUnderMyBurkha has SUPER-STRONG Mon… Mon bigger than Fri… Fri 1.22 cr, Sat 2.17 cr, Sun 2.41 cr, Mon 1.28 cr. Total: ₹ 7.08 cr.”

Released on 400 screens across the country, 'Lipstick Under My Burkha' is acing the word of mouth. Besides, the positive reviews from the critics has also managed to grab the audience's attention.

Helmed by Alankrita Shrivastava, 'Lipstick Under My Burkha' talks about celebrating girl power in today's patriarchal society. The story tracks the life of four women and their rebellion against social prejudices.

Not just the critics, the celebs too have been lauding the movie. From Shraddha Kapoor to Kalki Koechlin, B-town divas has applauded 'Lipstick Under My Burkha' on social media and called it a 'fearless, eye-opening and necessary movie'.

Interestingly, 'Lipstick Under My Burkha' even got its share of controversy too after Central Board of Film Certification refused to certify the movie by calling it 'lady oriented'.
