The birthplace of Krishna, Mathura and Vrindavan celebrate Krishna Janmashtami with great enthusiasm and splendor. Apart from Mathura, Banaras and Rajasthan, Gujarat and various other cities in the country celebrates this festival.
Workers from Mathura, Banaras and Rajasthan have worked day and night to decorate temples for this three day celebration.
Ahead of Janmashtami, high security arrangements have been made in temples so that devotees can make a obeisance of the Sri Krishna Janmasthan. 3 zones and 32 sectors have been created in Mathura to avoid rush.

Eighty percent of Muslim workers were involved in making 'Chandraki' dress, with colorful borders fixed with pearls and silk cloth for Lord Krishna.
