News Nation Ground Zero Poll Survey predicts massive BJP victory in Gujarat

Narendra Modi-led Bhartiya Janta Party and Congress are all set to be back in the battlefield as the political ardor is gaining pace in the state ahead of the Gujarat Assembly elections 2017, which will take place in two phases- December 9 and December 14. While Bhartiya Janta Party is trying their best to form government in Gujarat yet again, Congress is leaving no stones unturned to return to the power in the state. However, after the support from Patidar leader Hardik Patel, Congress has succeeded in turning the ‘already lost game’ into a neck to neck fight. Three days ahead of the elections, News Nation carried out country’s biggest ground zero poll survey and tried to know what is in the hearts of the voters of Gujarat.
31% people take up development as a base issue, 7% take up Narmada dam issue as a base for voting, 4% take up Demonetisation, and 4% use Chief Minister candidature for voting.
7% say Patidar reservation issue will affect the polls. 44% say there will be no effect, 27% say BJP will be affected.
When asked how BJP will be affceted by the Patidar reservation issue, 44% say there will be no effect, 27% say BJP will be harmed, 11% say BJP will benefit from this, while the other 18% cannot decide.
56% said PM Modi was the star campaigner
Only 8% found Rahul Gandhi as star campaigner
Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) president Hardik Patel affected only 4 % of the voters through his campaigns.
The campaigns by other parties affected 32% of the voters.
Votes percentage - BJP gets 49%, Congress gets 37%, while others get 14%
Kuttch-Saurashtra shows that BJP got 45 seats, Congress got 8 seats, while the other parties got 1 seat.
Central Gujarat shows that BJP got 23 seats, Congress got 15 seats, while other parties got 2 seats.
South Gujarat shows that BJP got 25 seats, Congress got 9 seats, while other parties got 1 seat.
The poll in North Gujarat show that BJP got 43 seats, while the Congress got 10 seats.
