Representing India at the Rio Olympics seems like a distant dream for wrestler Narsingh Yadav now as he faces a legal challenge from Sushil Kumar for the right to go to Rio. He has been tested positive for dope test, which he alleges is conspiracy against him. Narsingh is India’s representative in 74-kg category at the Rio Olympics. India's National Anti-Doping Agency said that he has failed dope test, which would put his Olympics dreams at risk.
Wrestler Narsingh Yadav, who won spot to represent India at the Olympics, has alleged conspiracy against him in the entire scenario surrounding his failed drugs test.
India's Rio-bound wrestler Narsingh Yadav’s roommate Sandeep Tulsi Yadav has also failed dope test. Sandeep was his roomie at the Sports Authority of India's regional centre in Sonepat.
The Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) has backed wrestler Narsingh Yadav in this entire episode of dope test and said it hopes he will represent India at the Rio Olympics.
The National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) hearing in New Delhi on Wednesday would decide Narsingh Yadav’s fate. Wrestling Federation of India had kept Praveen Rana as stand-by for Narsingh, which had ruled out Sushil Kumar's chances of going to Rio.
Sushil Kumar also took to social media, appealing to fans to demand a trial. In a video posted on his accounts, he has said that he needs his fans' support. Sushil also added #Justice4Sushil to the message.
