The high-decibel campaign in 69 assembly constituencies of Uttar Pradesh going to polls on Sunday came to an end this evening with leaders going the extra mile to woo voters. Priyanka Gandhi on Friday joined brother Rahul Gandhi in attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his "adopted son" remark, saying Uttar Pradesh does not need an outsider when it has its own to take it forward.

Terming both the BSP and the ruling SP as “corrupt”, BJP chief Amit Shah on Friday alleged neither the “buaa” (aunt) nor the “bhatija” (nephew) could bring development in Uttar Pradesh. Addressing a series of poll rallies in Itwa and Khesraha Assembly constituencies in the district, he claimed that only Prime Minister Narendra Modi can usher in development.

The ruling SP has “unleashed jungle raj” in Uttar Pradesh and to avoid a “crushing defeat” in this Assembly polls it has formed an “opportunistic” alliance with the Congress, BSP chief Mayawati alleged.She also vowed to put “goons, mafias and communal elements” behind bars once her party “comes to power” in the state. “The Samajwadi Party rule has brought ‘jungle raj’ in the state where might is right. Now, fearing a crushing defeat, the party which had won an absolute majority in the last polls has formed an opportunistic alliance with the Congress,” Mayawati alleged at a rally in Soraon near here.

Rahul Gandhi on Friday found a novel way to launch an attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi – invoking two Bollywood blockbusters. The Congress Vice President said PM Modi promised ‘achche din’ just like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’s Shah Rukh Khan, however, he turned out to be Sholay’s villain Gabbar Singh.Rahul Gandhi slammed PM Modi for his ‘achche din’ promise as he referred to the 1995 blockbuster starring SRK and Kajol.

Just minutes after Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi addressed an election rally at RaeBareli in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, Priyanka Gandhi also addressed people. 

Priyanka Gandhi said, Every youngster of Uttar Pradesh can become a leader and develop the state. She also said, UP doesn't need adopted sons, it has its own.
