Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday announced 15-member squad for the ODI and T-20 series against Sri Lanka. Yuvraj Singh, who was struggling for the form lately has been dropped from the team. Talented Karnataka batsman Manish Pandey has made his come back in the national team.Â
Senior bowlers, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami have been rested for both ODI and T2o series.
Experienced batsman Rohit Sharma and bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who were given rest for the West Indies series have also been included in the 15-member squad. Apart from Bumrah, young Shardul Thakur also got a chance in the team.
KL Rahul, who missed the Champions Trophy due to injury has also returned to the side.
India will play 5 ODIs and two T20s against Sri Lanka. the five-match ODI series will begin on Sunday Dambulla. India’s tour of Sri Lanka will conclude with second Twenty20 in Colombo on September 6.
