New Delhi:

India’s all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin on Tuesday struck his maiden half-century in the county cricket in the division two match between Worcestershire and Durham.

Striking 82 off 130 balls, Ashwin was the leading run-scorer on Worcestershire’s side. Durham bowled out the rivals at 335 in 90.2 overs.

The other two who scored half-centuries were Joe Clarke (65) and Ed Barnard (75).

The BCCI selectors had rested Ashwin for the ongoing ODI series against the Australian team. He made his debut in the county cricket in August.

It was Ashwin fourth game. In the previous three outings, the off-spinner took 13 wickets including a five-wicket haul against Gloucestershire.
