Indian skipper and youth icon Virat Kohli, who is turning 29 on Sunday, has gathered headlines with his fantastic form over the past few years. At the age of 29, he has managed to score 32 centuries in his short cricketing career.

Kohli is possibly one of the best batsmen in the world of Cricket and his hunger for runs doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon. Be it ODI, Test or T20, the right-arm batsman has left his imprint in all formats.

The Team India’s skipper is setting benchmarks, especially in One Day Internationals, where his records are extraordinary.

Here are his batting records in all the three formats:

ODI:

Virat Kohli has played 202 ODI matches in his 9 years of cricketing career, wherein he has managed to score 9030 runs at an average of 55.74 and strike rate of 91.73. Some of his other records include:

Most runs by captain in ODI season

Fastest batsman to score 8,000 and 9,000 ODI runs

Fastest Indian to score 4000, 5000, 6000, 7000 and 8000 ODI runs

The Indian skipper has not only managed to break records his one-day cricket but his Test statistics are also not less than any other in-form batsman. In 20 matches, he has scored 4658 runs at an average of 49.55 and strike rate of 56.01.

Under his leadership, the Men in Blue have won 19 out of 29 matches

17 centuries and 14 half-centuries

Fifth fastest to reach 10 Test match hundreds as captain

First batsman to score 4 double-centuries in 4 consecutive Test series
