New Delhi:

The deadly air pollution in Delhi continued to trouble the Sri Lankan players on day 4 of the third Test at Feroz Shah Kotla on Tuesday.

After Sunday’s episode, Lankan players once again wore pollution masks on field while India’s second innings got underway.

Lankan fast bowler Suranga Lakmal was seen puking on the field. A physio had to attend him and the game was briefly interrupted.

On Sunday, during India’s first innings, Sri Lankan players halted the game for some time and complained of breathing problems.

At once, they were just 10 players on the field.

However on Tuesday, Sri Lankan Captain Dinesh Chandimal and Niroshan Dickwella seemed to have no problem with the pollution as they didn’t wear any mask.

None of the two on field umpires, Nigel Llong and Joel Wilson wore pollution mask even once in the third Test.

Sri Lankan team’s decision to halt the game on Sunday had angered many in India with some even mocking the visitors on social media.

Weather conditions in Delhi – one of the world’s most polluted cities – has been hazardous for weeks.

The notorious fog triggered by deadly air pollution has engulfed country’s national capital since December 7 this year.
