New Delhi:

Nitish Rana and Hardik Pandya proved to be the heroes for the struggling Mumbai Indians side as their power hitting skills came handy in team's four-wicket win against the mighty Kolkata Knight Riders in their second Indian Premier League match at the Wankhede stadium on Sunday.

Chasing a daunting 179-run target, the home team started off to a flying start but some quick dismisslas unsettled the impressive Mumbai batting lineup.

However, a brilliant half-century by Nitish Rana brought Mumbai back into the game. Rana made a quickfire 50 in just 29 balls. After Rana's departure, Hardik Pandya displayed his batting skills and with a touch of luck, pulled out an impossible-looking win.

The match turned out to be an absolute thriller in the end when the MI needed 11 off the final over but the home side bravely fought their way with a ball to spare.
