Sri Lanka ended Day 3 of the Kolkata Test at 165 for 4 courtesy Angelo Matthews and Lahiru Thiramanne's half centuries. The visitors were in a commanding position after their bowlers bowled out the hosts for a paltry 172. The Lankans were on the backfoot with the initial opening jitters effected by Bhuvneshwar Kumar but they staged a positive comeback with a strong partnership by Angelo Matthews and Lahiru Thiramanne.
