India posted a commading total on Day 1 of the second Test being played at Colombo. India got off to a breezy start with openers Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul scoring at a rapid pace. The Indians could build a solid platform around a well compiled century from Cheteshwar Pujara who got to his 13th ton in his 50th Test. After Indian captain Virat Kohli fell cheaply, Pujara stitched a strong partnerhsip with Ajinkya Rahane to end Day one at 344 for 3.
