Ind vs SL: Rohit Sharma's double ton powers India to massive 141-run win at Mohali, level series

New Delhi:

India on Wednesday made a strong comeback in the series after they thrashed Sri Lanka by 141 runs to level the three-match series at 1-1.

The architect of India's victory was Rohit Sharma who scored a belligerent 208 not out, registering his third double ton in limited overs. Earlier in the day, the Indians were given a flying start by Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma. Once Dhawan was scalped, young turk Shreyas Iyer gave support to the skipper Rohit by scoring a fluent 82.

Once Shreyas departed Rohit stepped up the scoring rate and tonked the Lankans to different parts of the ground Sharma registered his third double ton in the process and helped the team post a mammoth 392 run total.

Lankan's managed to score 251 runs from their 50 overs. Angelo Mathews scored highest 111 not out from the guest side.
