New Delhi:

Pakistan has beaten World Champion West Indies in the first game of the four T20 Matches series at Kensington Oval in Barbado on Sunday.

Pakistan Captain Sarfraz Ahmed won the toss and elected to bowl first. The decision was very well backed by his bowlers who never let the hosts settle down.

Talented young leg-break bowler Shadab Khan doing the trick for visitors made three victims for just 7 runs in his 4 overs and didn’t let the hosts go for big hits.

Against a ‘balanced’ Pakistani bowling attack, West Indies never looked settled and could only manage to score 111 odd runs for 8 wickets in their 20 overs with captain Carlos Brathwaite scoring 35 runs. Apart from Brathwaite no other west Indian could manage to go past 20 runs score.

Player of the match 18 years-old Shadab khan gave credit of his match winning performance to his parents and said, ‘’the prayers of my parents helped. I will try to keep performing well as I did today and help Pakistan win. The conditions were good for the spinners. They were similar to the conditions in PSL.’’

Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed giving credit of team’s victory to his bowlers said’, ‘’the young Shadab did really well. Mentally we were at the top. But we aren’t relaxing. Shadab bowled well in the PSL. I asked him to bowl same lines. No easing up.’’
