Former Indian Test cricketer VVS Laxman turned 43 on Wednesday. Birthday wishes from all around the country poured in for the elegant stroke-maker who mesmerized the cricketing fraternity with his wristy and sublime stroke-making ability.
Virender Sehwag who has made it a habit of greeting fellow cricketers and personalities with his punchy tweets wasted no time in wishing his former Indian teammate in his characteristic 'Viru' Andaz. Sehwag was at his creative best on Twitter calling the Laxman wristy jadugaar or magician with the wrists.

Happy b'day, Lax! Shall I spill out the secret behind ur ability to score runs? Taking a shower & eating an apple before going to bat. Oops😜 pic.twitter.com/DNYFNQUnAi— sachin tendulkar (@sachin_rt) November 1, 2017
VVS Laxman was an integral part of a batting heavy Indian side which tasted a lot of success in the international arena under the aegis of Saurav Ganguly and MS Dhoni. Laxman created a niche for himself by producing some of the most sensational knocks in the Test arena.
His 281 not out against the Aussies which helped India escape from the jaws of defeat and win the Eden Gardens Test is considered as a masterpiece by Wisden. Laxman, who played 134 Tests and 86 ODIs, scored 8,781 runs in Tests and 2,338 runs in ODIs.
