In their second game of the FIFA World Cup 2018, tournament favourites France face Peru at the Ekaterinburg Arena. The French are expected to win their second straight game, whilst the Peruvians will be hoping to record their first points in the competition.

In their pre-World Cup campaign, Didier Deschamps's men beat Ireland (2-0) and Italy (3-1) before recording a draw against USA (1-1).

The French come into this game on the back of a difficult win against a solid Australian team (2-1), thanks to a penalty by Antoine Griezmann and Aziz Behich’s own goal.

Before taking off for Russia, the Peruvians defeated Scotland (2-0) and Saudi Arabia (3-0) and were held to a draw by Sweden (0-0). However, Ricardo Gareca’s men messed-up their World Cup opening game against Denmark (1-0) with Christian Cueva completely missing his penalty shot just before half-time, and conceding a goal from Yussuf Poulsen in the 60th minute.
