Confederations Cup 2017: Germany beat Chile 1-0 to win the title

It was the much awaited final of the Confederations Cup 2017 and Lars Stindl stole the show with his 20th minute goal with which Germany bagged the title on Sunday in St Petersburg. The reigning World Champions beat Chile 1-0 to win their maiden FIFA Confederations Cup title.

Copa America winners Chile continued their attempt for the next 70 minutes for an attack but Germany's defence was all promosing to make their every attempt a failure throughout the game.

All Chile players failed to breach the young German defence in the promising final of the Sunday.

Though the star players of Chile raised our expectation after beating Argentina in both 2015 and 2016 Copa America finals, this time Germany snatched the winner's title from the Chileans.

Chile reached the final of the Confederations Cup after they defeated Portugal in Wednesday's Semi-finals match.
