Cristiano Ronaldo has been reportedly offered a mega-contract by Manchester United to bring him back to Old Trafford.

According to reports, Ronaldo is frustrated with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez. Apparently, the Bernabeu chief did not sanction a new contract for the 33-year-old superstar. Manchester United have offered a massive 26.2 million pound a year to mark his return to the Theatre of Dreams.

The current Ballon d’Or winner’s season started terribly when he was suspended for five games after pushing a referee in Spanish Super Cup. His suspension was followed by his goal drought during the first half of the season during which Real Madrid slipped well off in their title defence.

The Portugal forward has found his form back in the second half of the season, especially in the Champions League. He has scored 12 times in just eight Champions League matches, and scored 37 goals in all competitions in 35 games.

United boss Jose Mourinho is prepare to break the bank to bring him back to Manchester. Car manufacturer and main sponsor of Manchester United, Chevrolet are desperate for this deal to happen, according to reports,

The kit sponsors Adidas are also ready to spend a reasonable amount of money to bring Ronaldo back.

In 2009, Los Merengues broke the then world-record fee of 80 million pound to sign him from the Red Devils. Currently, Alexis Sanchez is the highest paid player at Old Trafford and this deal could see Ronaldo earn more than what the Chilean is pocketing right now i.e. 500,000 pound a week.
