India shall be locking horns against arch- rivals Pakistan in the finals of the Champions Trophy at the Oval in London. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:00 pm (IST). Billed as the ‘Mother of all Cricketing rivalries’, the India-Pakistan would be a battle of reigning supreme as the Champions of One Day cricket by annexing the Champions Trophy. The top eight sides of ODI cricket made the cut to the showpiece events and only two stay alive to play for glittering trophy. While India lived up their billing of being pre-tournament favourites by reaching their fourth final at the mega event, Pakistan surprised everyone by upsetting the likes of South Africa, Sri Lanka and England to make it to their maiden final.
World Hockey League Semis - India vs Pakistan
Indian and Pakistan hockey teams will be crossing swords in the Hockey World League (HWL) semi-finals later on Sunday evening.The match is scheduled to commence at 6:30 pm. India thrashed Scotland 4-1 in the opening counter before blanking Canada 3-0 on Saturday to lock horns with Pakistan on Sunday. Meanwhile Pakistan were handed two crushing defeats by Netherlands and Canada in their two fixtures. India is currently ranked 6th in World Hockey, while Pakistan are 13th. Teams who qualify from this tournament will play in the HWL finals which will be held in Bhubaneswar later in December this year.
