Indian badminton star Kidambi Srikanth defeated China’s Shi Yuqi to enter Australian Open Super Series final on Saturday. Srikanth earned an enthralling victory and trounced his opponent 21-10, 21-14.
The Indian shuttler dominated the net shots, played some attacking drives from the mid-court to send fourth seed Shi Yuqi packing in just 37 minutes. With this win, Srikanth entered his third successive Superseries final. He will now face the winner of the match between China's Chen Long andKorea's Lee Hyun Il in the final.

Earlier on Friday, he had defeated fellow Indian B Sai Praneeth in the men's singles quarterfinals of the Australian Open on Friday.
Srikanth was locked in tough battle in the opening game but managed to edge past Praneeth. Praneeth produced to save three game points but Srikanth eventually seal the game 25-23.

In the second game, Praneeth took a lead at the halfway stage but Srikanth came back strongly to finish the game 21-17.
