Star Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth on Saturday stormed into the finals of BWF French Open Super Series by defeating compatriot HS Prannoy in a marathon semi-final.
It was not an easy win for Srikanth and he has to make extra efforts to beat Prannoy by 14-21, 21-19, 21-18.
Prannoy won the first set and was keeping good throughout the second before being outclassed by Srikanth in crucial last minutes. He lost second game by 19-21.
Prannoy gave tough fight to Srikanth in the last game as well but Srikanth was better on the day and won the final set by a narrow 21-18 margin.
K Srikanth is having a stellar run in 2017. He has made it to his 5th Super Series final tournament this year. He has already won the Australian, Denmark and Indonesian Open Super Series title in 2017.
