WWE is gearing up to present the much-awaited Fastlane pay per view on Sunday, March 11. The Smackdown exclusive event will be the final stop before the showcase of immortals-Wrestlemania 34.
The go-home-edition of Smackdown Live before Fastlane was nothing short of a blockbuster show as five of the six participants of the WWE championship match competed in a fatal five-way match.
AJ Styles, Baron Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens competed in the main event of Smackdown before their mega encounter on Sunday. Interestingly, the match between AJ Styles and Dolph Ziggler was supposed to close the show but Smackdown commissioner Shane McMahon changed it into a fatal five way after Zayn and Owens interfered in between.
The match featuring the top stars on WWE’s blue brand was nothing short of an exciting affair or the fans. In the end, Sami Zayn nailed a Helluva Kick to his friend Kevin Owens to pick up the win and create momentum before Fastlane.

WWE also announced two new matches for Fastlane creating anticipation among the fans. Rusev will take on the men’s Royal Rumbel winner Shinsuke Nakamura in a singles match.
Former Smackdown Women’s champion Natalya challenged Naomi and Becky Lynch to a tag team match which later on was confirmed by WWE. The ‘Queen of Harts’ will team up with ‘Miss Money in the Bank’ winner Carmella to take on the ‘Glow’ and ‘Irish Lass Kicker’.
