Kodak launches smartphone 'EKTRA' which looks like a camera

Kodak Ektra, camera-centric smartphone launched in India, available exclusively on Flipkart

Bullitt Group which is the mobile licensee for Kodak has announced the launch of smartphone Kodak Ektra in India on Monday and it will be available exclusively on Flipkart at Rs 19,990.

The smartphone will become available starting July 18 at 4 PM. The Ektra was first showcased in October last year and its main USP is that it has advanced photography features from a smartphone camera.

Kodak Ektra comes with a 21MP optically stabilised rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus and dual LED flash. The rear camera also supports advanced manual controls with the ability to adjust exposure, ISO, focal length, white balance and shutter speed.

The latest software also supports RAW file capture and an option to disable auto scene detection in smart auto mode. It also features a 13MP front camera with phase detection autofocus and f/2.2 aperture.

Kodak Ektra sports a 5-inch LCD display and is powered by deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 chipset clocked at 2.3GHz. The smartphone offers 3GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage and runs older Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The smartphone is backed by a 3000mAh battery and uses USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.
