Micromax launched its 5.7-inch with 16-megapixel selfie camera setup Canvas Infinity smartphone in India on Tuesday.
The company declares sell of the smartphone be exclusively bought on Amazon but will be available on sale via offline stores sooner. Registration for the first sale on September 1 has begun on the giant e-retailer.
Micromax has priced the smartphone for Rs 9,999.
Canvas Infinity comes with a metal body and has a fingerprint scanner at the back, just below the single camera setup. The phone-front has capacitive buttons.
The audio-jack is placed at the top edge of the smartphone, while the bottom edge has a Micro-USB port.
Canvas Infinity is the only budget phone in the country which has a screen resolution of 18:9 which fits the 5.7-inch HD (720x1440) display.
During the launching event, Micromax has announced a 24-hour service with a promise to repair or replace the device in a stipulated time frame. The company has claimed that the service will be available at Micromax Express Service centres exclusively.
Canvas Infinity runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. The company has confirmed that the newly launched smartphone will get the Android 8.0 Oreo update soon.
The phone sports dual-SIM slots and has a dedicated microSD slot. It has been powered with Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor paired with 3GB Ram and an internal storage of 32GB which can be expanded upto 128GB.
The phone’s connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, AGPS, and OTG support (up to 64GB).
Canvas Infinity also boasts of the ability to take long screenshots (up to 10 pages) and gesture based shortcuts.
The Canvas Infinity is a delight for selfie lovers as it come with a 16-megapixel camera with soft selfie flash, f/20 aperture and face beauty modes. The smartphone also has a 13-megapixel sensor with flash support at the back.
An important feature the smartphone is packed with is the Real Time Bokeh effect, Re-Focus option and Auto scene detection mode.
The phone is powered by 2900mAH battery that offers talk time of 20 hours and standby time of 420 hours.
