Saudi Arabia on Tuesday declared Yoga as a sport and approved teaching of Yoga in the Muslim kingdom. The credit goes to 37-year-old Yogacharini Nouf Marwaai, who since 2005 approaching the Arabian government to make Yoga official in the middle east country.

All about Nouf Marwaai

# Marwaai is a businesswoman and a leading practitioner and official promoter of Yoga and Ayurveda in Saudi Arabia.

# She has been practising Yoga since 1998. Marwaai also practices Ayurveda and is also a clinical psychologist.

# Marwaai has been titles with Yogacharini — a title awarded in Yoga practitioners in Kerala.

# She launched her first medical centre for Yoga, Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine therapy in 2009.

# She is founder of Saudi Arabia Yoga School and Regional Director of Yoga Alliance International in the Gulf region.

# Marwaai also holds a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy and Lifestyle from Shobhit University, India, and a Diploma in Medical Yoga, Delhi, India.
