Rohaan, a four-month old Pakistani baby boy, who had come to India on July 12 with a serious heart condition, was operated by the doctors on July 14 in a Noida hospital.
But sad news has come from his father Kanwal Sadiq who informed that Rohan died of dehydration on Monday night. According to his family, Rohaan was down with diarrhoea after his return from India and died on Monday night.
"Rohaan passed away last night. He fought and conquered the major heart surgery but slipped and fell into grave due to dehydration (sic)," tweeted Sadiq.

The Pakistani family was granted medical visa by External Affairs Ministry to facilitate the complicated heart surgery in India.

Rohan reported with a hole in his heart along with a condition identified as dextro-transposition of the great arteries and was admitted to Jaypee Hospital in Noida on June 12.
On June 14, an exhaustive five-hour surgery was conducted where his condition was treated through the arterial switch with VSD closure. Back home in Pakistan Rohan was advised to seek treatment at a multi-speciality hospital for which they had arrived in India.
The doctor, who performed the surgery said the child was perceived like any other patient, with no heed given to his nationality.
"He was critical and had multiple VSDs. We were worried before the operation. It was only after a month that we discharged him. He is doing well. His parents had placed their trust in us," he said.
After the successful surgery, Kanwal had expressed his gratitude towards Sushma Swaraj, the Minister of External Affairs of India, as she had assured help in getting a medical visa.
Kanwal was unable to procure a medical visa on May 24 and had tweeted to Sushma Swaraj, "Why my bud suffers for medical treatment!! Any answers Sir Sartaaj Azeez or Ma'am Sushma??"
On May 31, Swaraj had replied, "No. The child will not suffer. Pls contact Indian High Commission in Pakistan. We will give the medical visa."
