Footage of a woman in a miniskirt and crop top has emerged wherein she was walking through a Saudi Arabia’s heritage site. The authorities are now investigating the matter. The footage was posted on the social media last weekend.
According to reports, the model named ‘Khulood’ posted a series of videos to her Snapchat account wherein a young girl can be seen in a miniskirt walking through a fort. The videos posted by the model’s account were later shared on different social media sites.
The authorities are taking necessary actions to find the young girl in the videos, the local government of Riyadh said while issuing a memo. The matter has also been investigated by the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice - Saudi Arabia's ‘morality police’.
The matter has created a heated debate in the country and across the world over the rights of women and gender equality. Saudi Arabia is a highly conservative country where women are not allowed to wear such short dresses.
